This is a versatile range of rotary unions. A pair of ball bearings ensures perfect alignment of the sealing faces, and the torque on the union itself is low even under heavy loads. Balanced seals maintain a nearly constant load on the contact surfaces, independent of the pressure of the fluid medium, reducing friction and wear. Standard equipment includes a synthetic carbon graphite rotary seal and a sintered silicon carbide stationary seal, both of which are interchangeable. When used with water, tests have shown that this combination has a service life many times longer than a combination of carbon graphite and ceramic under the same operating conditions. If extremely wear-resistant seals are required, a SiC/SiC combination is available. Both floating and rotor seals can be replaced quickly and easily, and their high wear resistance and long life make this series an economical solution for transferring fluids from static to rotating components.
